HVAC DESIGNERS OF CANADA
The HVAC Designers of Canada (HVAC DC) have developed an auditing process to confirm compliance with the CSA F280. The Excel-based TECA heat loss and heat gain calculator (v5.0) has been audited and granted compliance. This is a new and official CSA F280 compliance designation. Note that only the new version (v5.0) is compliant, and older versions (v4.x and lower) are now expired.
Update to the new TECA-HLHG-Calculator-v5.0 to comply with the CSA F280 (and the BC Building Code 9.33.5.)

The new calculator has a similar interface to previous versions, with some changes and new features: • Increased customization options for weather data. • Select from common building assemblies, save libraries of assemblies. • Faster user interface, more input control for dimensions of rooms and buildings. • Define up to 40 rooms. • More comprehensive and customizable building area and volume calculation. • Estimate radiant back-losses. • Reference standards and calculators for ventilation requirements. • Save up to 10 different types of building elements (walls, ceilings, floors, windows, doors), and up to 4 foundations. • Import drawing data from PDF platforms, such as BlueBeam Revu. • Available on MacOS (no partition required).
